30 Oct 1847 – As bad as the slave trade, dumping on Canada, half naked paupers, aged, infirm beggars and vagrants, Irish famine immigrants. The “Eliza” and “Liddell” in St John New Brunswick brought aged and invalid widows and children the “lord Ashburton” in Quebec 30 Oct 1847, 477 passengers, 107 passengers were buried at sea 672 from overcrowding and fever almost naked paupers.
